2001: A Journey in the Galaxy of Gutenberg - from the printing press to the e-book

Pre-Meeting

One of the highlights of the Meeting on Literature is the preparation for the event. There is the reading and debate of the work of the writers who come to Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul. Thousands of people get involved in the Pre-Meeting, which encourages youngsters to dive into the world of reading. Until July, a group of teachers wil travel to more than 50 municipalities in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, and São Paulo - talking about the authors and organizing interdisciplinary groups for the reading and discussion of the texts. This allows for a singular moment of contact with the work of each author, and stimulates the dialogue between public and writers.

This year, this activity is being followed by artistic presentations of the Theater Group of UPF, Viramundos Project, Tanz Dance Group, and Musical Groups of the College of Arts and Communication.
